How to treat your clients....so they keep coming back!

I had a recent customer service experience that left ALOT to be desired.

As many of you that read this are in the beauty or customer service industry, I thought I would write about a few things that keep clients coming back to you this week.

 

I was lucky enough to holiday recently in the USA and the customer service we received whilst there was outstanding. What did they do that made it stand out you ask?

They made you feel valued and seemed genuinely interested in what you needed. Sounds simple. And IT IS! Clients just want to feel valued and that their needs are being addressed.

They do not want to feel like you are doing them a favour, that they should feel priveliged that you are providing that service to them or made to feel uncomfortable in any way.

Alot of people tell me they feel intimidated walking into a beauty business. I know I have myself sometimes, especially when you walk in and they just stop and stare at you.

The easiest thing you can do when a client comes to your premises is smile and say 'hello' or 'welcome', even if you are busy with a client. Just say excuse me to your current client and a happy hello to the new one and watch the atmosphere change. By extending this courtesy to them, you are immediately letting them know that you are happy that they made the effort to come visit your business.

Clients

Can you see how customers at the end of the day are the soul of your business, so it only makes sense for them to be valued accordingly?

I have been to businesses before and the actual product or service delivered was average but the customer service experience delivered to me kept me going back. Has this happened to you? Have a think about your experiences and see what you could do to make your customers feel valued, put them into action and watch the results!

As for my recent experience......I will be voting with my feet and never returning again!

Threading is a winner!

A few weeks ago, our Get Threaded Toowoomba artist Cathy sent me a photo her daughter had taken to enter in a competition.

The competition was a photographic competition for the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers, a massive event held in Toowoomba every year.

The theme for the competition this year was......

THREAD
Thread is a thin yarn used for sewing. It may also be a sequence of computer instructions, a measurement, a spiral ridge on screws, or a list of comments on a topic. Thread can be a noun or a verb, an idea or an item. Threads might tie, threads can lead or be loose. Find your inspiration in the threads of your life.

Cathy's daughter Abbey-Rose (who is only 8), decided she was going to enter. The photo is captioned, 'My Mumma Threading' and when Cathy sent me through the photo I knew she would be a winner.

And I was right! Abbey-Rose's photos was announced as a winner for the competition.....congratulations Abbey-Rose and thanks for spreading the word on threading!
